The Nigerian society seems to be experiencing a resurgence of yellow fever as three states have lost lives to some disease strange diseases.
First, it was in Delta and Enugu states where over hundred people died from some strange ailments which laboratory tests later proved to be connected with Yellow fever disease
And now, in Benue State, about 17 persons have been confirmed dead as a result of a yet to ascertained ailment in Okpeilo-Otukpa community in Ogbadibo Local Government Area
Though there’s no empirical facts to prove that the deaths were Yellow fever induced, considering the proximity of the affected area with Enugu state, which is a neighbouring state to Benue,one is almost certain, of the contagious effect from Enugu State, moreso that the symptoms seem to be similar.
Yellow fever had been eradicated in Nigeria and for sometime, there had been no trace of the ailment in any part of the country.
