The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control has remained unresponsive while two communities in Enugu and Delta States have being under a siege by yet to discover diseases.
While in Delta state, over 30 persons have been killed, about 60 lives have been lost to another strange disease in Enugu State.
According to Vanguard newspaper, the Delta State outbreak is in a community called Ute-Okpu and the locals suspect a substance abuse which causes hemorrhagic fever and subsequent death.
In Enugu State, the outbreak is at Ette and Uluopu communities with vomiting blood, convulsion and diarrhea as common symptoms.
In all this, it appears that the NCDC has been overwhelmed by the Coronavirus pandemic as the Centre has not responded to the situation, after about a month or the respective outbreaks.
