Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, Warns #EndSARS Protesters

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has denounced the assault and killings of Policemen in Delta State.

Mr Adamu publicly denounced the destruction of vehicles and other assets by the END SARS protesters.

His response was contained in an announcement by the Force PRO, DCP Frank Mba, on Friday.

The IG said the Thursday occurrence brought about the demise of a Police officer, Cpl. Etaga Stanley, appended to ‘A’ Division, Ughelli.

Adamu included that the assault additionally left Sgt. Patrick Okuone with injury gun shots by the protesters. He said protesters took the deceased Police officer’s AK47 rifle with breach no 56-2609008 and 25 rounds of live ammo.

Adamu sympathized with the official’s family and requested the Commissioner of Police in Delta to carry the executioners to book.
Adamu depicted the occurrence as cruel and unnecessary.

The IG cautioned that Police would no longer endure any assault on it’s faculty or any individual from the law enforcement body.
Knowing that protesting are rights of citizens, he added that protests “must be carried out with all sense of responsibility and within the confines of the law’’.
