Famous Nigerian singer, Naira Marley has declared that he would be heading a protest on Tuesday against foul play dispensed on Nigerians by Special Anti Robbery Squad(SARS).
This is following the objection and #EndSARS hashtag trending via online media against badgering of citizens by SARS officials.
Naira Marley, who had prior declined support in any dissent over dread of going to jail, reported on his Twitter page that some SARS authorities would join the dissent. Giving reasons, Marley said the police and SARS work force would come out to show uphold against their partners and answer inquiries from Nigerians.
“On Tuesday we got some SARS personnels coming out with us. The ones that claim to only come out for big operations and not the dirty works on road.
“They are coming out to show support and to answer some questions, we also got some police officers and soldiers joining the protest.”
Naira Marley, therefore, begged his fans and those willing to join the protest not to fight with any SARS officials seen at the protest.
“Don’t forget guys just in case you see any SARS or any forces there on Tuesday don’t start any fight. We are allowed to ask questions? But remember no fight, no vandalism. Peaceful protest. Thanks,”
