Following the recent protest #EndSARS in the country, the people of Abuja has also decided not to be left out on the trend.
Following the protest by the Gwagwalada based persons that kick started at exactly 9AM yesterday, news has it that the people of Abuja are still hot on the protest as report reaching us states that movements around the town axis are partially restricted as vehicles are finding it hard to move amidst protesters.
Just yesterday the people of the Gwagwalada area council observed their own protest and it seems to have prompted the morales in others so as to observe their own protest in their different wards.
The protest that kick started at a very popular junction known as SDP junction there in Gwagwalada was indeed a successful one yesterday.
As can see, the turnout of today’s protest is very massive as the protest is still happening live in Abuja town. Compared to yesterday’s protest, not everyone that had wanted to join the protest actually showed up as some were cutup with something else to do. But the story is different today.
This only shows how committed the people of Abuja are towards the end of the brutality going on in the country. #EndSARS, #EndPoliceBrutality
So far it has been a very peaceful protest owing from yesterday’s protest in Gwagwalada and now in Abuja town.
The Christian movement #PrayerWalk also kick started at exactly 9AM this morning here in Gwagwalada, Abuja and it is still on. Following the details on the flier.
No doubt, the said SARS actually started as a good course when they were focused on their primary assignment which was the arrest of robbery activities. Until they finally decided to abuse the power given to them following the applauses they were getting for a well done job. “Too much praises they said spoils a child.”
The brutality and the abuse of the fundamental human right. The molesting of innocent citizens amidst the killings, amongst other wrong moves the SARS finally decided to venture into.
And now the SWAT has been created in place of the said SARS. And although the spokes man of the Nigeria Police Force claims the SWAT is different from SARS and are been restricted to some areas of duties as shown on the image below, we hope they keep to their words else the people of Nigeria will have no choice but to protest again.
We’re hoping that the efforts of the well meaning people of Nigeria so far will not be in vain.
All of this is just for the good, the progress and the way forward of our dear country Nigeria.
Our country indeed needs nothing but prayers. We pray that God heals our land!
ONE LOVE NIGERIA!
God Bless Nigeria!!
God Bless the good citizens of Nigeria!!!
