Former Presidential candidate from PDP Atiku Abubakar has express his displeasure on the supposed attack on Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and some PDP governors by police force in Edo State.
On Friday, PDP had in an announcement raised the caution that the inn where Governor Wike is dwelling in Benin, Edo State, was encircled by more than 300 policemen. PDP chairman in Rivers State, Akawor Desmond made the announcement on Friday.
Responding to it, Atiku said blocking the inn where the PDP Governors were staying isn’t a demonstration of fairness and decency.
He tweeted, ”A promise of free & fair election cannot be mere lip service. It’s a commitment & should be demonstrated by way of equal access & restriction to every stakeholder. Blockading the hotel of @OfficialPDPNig governors in the eve of the Edo election isn’t a good way to show fairness.”
