It is no longer news that the 2020/2021 football session has been hilarious since it began.

The way the first week of the 2020/2021 Premier League began was indeed very hilarious. Most club supporters were taken by surprised the way the teams/clubs considered to be big clubs lost to the ones considered to be the small clubs.

Just yesterday, another record was set on the history of the football Premier League. Ollie Watkins the Aston Villa forward scored 3 goals in the very first half of the match against legendary Liverpool. “It was unexpected but it happened tonight”, said Klopp.

Could it be that the absence of Sadio Mane resulted to the 7 – 2 lost to Aston Villa?


Just recently before the match, the star player Sadio Mane provided a positive test result to Covid-19 which resulted to his been absence against the Aston Villa match.

The legendary star player Sadio Mane holds the record for the fastest Premier League hat trick, netting 3 goals for Southampton in 2mins, 56secs. in the 6-1 win against the said Aston Villa in the 2015/2016 season on Saturday, 16 May 2015.

O. Watkins scored a first half hat trick as the Reds (Never walk alone) became the first reigning English champions to concede 7 goals in a league match since 1953.

O. Watkins scored the very first goal 4minutes into the match, the second goal came in 22minutes into the match, but before the third goal by the legendary Ollie Watkins, Mohamed Salah scored the first goal for his team (Liverpool) 33mins into the match. John McGinn scored the third goal for Aston Villa 2mins after M. Salah’s goal and then the legendary hat trick goal by O. Watkins 39mins into the match before the first half whistle was blown. Making a 4 – 1 goals for the first half.

Ross Barkley scored the fifth goal for Villa 55mins into the match, and M. Salah again scored for his team 5mins after. The sixth and sevenths goal for Villa came 66mins and 75mins into the match respectively by Jack Grealish, making a 7 – 2 win for Aston Villa against Liverpool.

Moving away from the Aston Villa – Liverpool match, the Red Devils: Manchester United also lost to Tottenham 1 – 6 yesterday. Another hilarious moment in the Premier League 2020/2021 season.

And then the Barcelona 2 – 8 loss to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League quarter finals on the 14th of August, 2020.

This 2020/2021 football season has indeed so far been hilarious. We’ll just keep our legs crossed and see what more drama this season holds for us as the Premier League continues.
