Court Forbids Kaduna PDP on Saturday from conducting Congress
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Kaduna State chapter said it has received an ex-parte court order postponing the state congress scheduled for Saturday.

The Caretaker Committee Chairman and the Secretary, Hon. Bashir Tanimu Dutsinma and Hon Abdullahi Ali Kano respectively disclosed this in a statement issued, signed and made available to journalists in Kaduna on Thursday.
The statement stressed that the party had already successfully completed the 23 local government congress last Wednesday and was planning for the state congress fixed for the next coming Saturday.
It explained that the party would adhere to the court’s directive to postpone the Congress, while announcing a new date as soon as possible.
It should be noted, that the party’s National Working Committee had reconstituted the Kaduna State Caretaker Committee to manage the party’s affairs.
The action of the NWC, which is pursuant to section 29(2)(b) and 31(2) (e) of the PDP Constitution (2017 as amended), is consequent upon the expiration of the tenure of the outgoing state caretaker committee.
It is the sole responsibility of the reconstituted Caretaker Committee to manage the party’s affairs in Kaduna state until a new executive committee is elected for a term not exceeding 90 days (3 months). End
