A newly wed bride, a nursing mother and traders have been abducted in Sutti Village, Tangaza LGA of Sokoto State.
The bride was reported to have been abducted on the 19th of August while she was being carried to her husband’s house that day, the abductors also abducted a yet unknown number of traders along Balle-Tangaza road that same night. The nursing mother who was confined to be the wife of Magajin Garin Sulli was with her baby at their residence when the abductors came on Thursday night.
Villagers deserted in fear of another attack as it is not the first time the kidnappers have attacked the residents of Tangaza and Gudu LGA causing chaos especially at night.
ASP Muhammad Sadiq, the spokesman of Sokoto State Police stated that a joint patrol have been sent to the affected areas. In his words,
“We have intensified patrol to secure the area, arrest the hoodlums and rescue the abductees”.
