11-year-old Favour Okechukwu has allegedly been raped to death today in Lagos State.
The victim, Favour was abused at No 4, Olarenwaju Street in Ejigbo community by 4pm on Thursday, Villas Updates reports.
Witnesses and reporters stormed Ejigbo Police station where the case was reported also stating the young girl was raped by five suspects who were detained afterwards.
President of International Child Initiative and Women Development Foundation (ICI-WODEF), Mrs. Helen Ibeji, gave an account of the incident.
“Her mother sent her to buy gala and that was the last time she saw her. Probably these agents of darkness have been trailing her for some time.” Ibeji said.
Ibeji added “She did not return from buying the gala. Her corpse was found in the room, lying stark naked in the room where she was raped to death.”
The Lagos State DNA and Forensic Center (LSD and FC), who took the deceased’s body away for forensic analysis, has since been welcomed by the police.
